....Gods almighty. This one just right pissed me off. You look at a book and think 'that can't possibly be that hard to make, right?' No. Horribly horribly wrong.

I wanted it to be about 2 inched thick. Real encyclopedia thick. Also wanted blank pages inside. Those two things did not go well together. This would have been even more painful if my good friend Nat hadn't taken a bookbinding course in college. That route was way more labor intensive than I would have preferred, so it's not what I did. But might have tried if she had not explained.

Blank pages? Either make your own or make it out of a sketchbook. By the way, sketchbooks do not much come in 2 inch thick sizes.

2 inched thick? Rip up a big used book. Then you get to read about things like medical definitions for strange things on the inside. Fun.



...Right. So I used a big sketchbook and faked it by adding extra binding on the side to make it look thicker and give me room to write. The whole book is not filled, just those two pages, but each and every other pages is aged, one by one. And that is a real wax seal. It has an 'E' stamped in to it. The writing was done with a glass calligraphy pen (because really, how many times do you get an excuse to use one) and the language is Latin. It's lines from Dante.

At least I know for the next one now. Okay, rant over. Project done.
