Noctis Sword - Final Fantasy Versus XIIIby ~RedShotRonin

This is Noctis Lucis Caelum's sword from the video game Final Fantasy Versus XIII.

It was a commission, and it turned out pretty well, I think. It was a lot of fun to create. A nice big prop with a lot of fiddly little bits, my favorite ^-^

Made from solid housing foam, resin, Wonderflex, hot glue, acrylic paint, and clear coat.

Also! Totally used Laitz's lovely blueprint for this. It was an immense help and cut out so much design work. I only wish every project I worked on already had a blueprint for it.

What did you make it out of? and can you use wonder flex to get the same effect

It is made from solid housing foam, resin, Wonderflex, hot glue, acrylic paint, and clear coat.

I only used WF for the detailing, but I've seen sword blades made from just Wonderflex, so it can be done, if you want to go that route.
